TimeMachine 0.1 - 15 Feb 2008
The Timemachine is a program to load previous firmwares and custom firmwares from memory stick using pandora. Like devhook, but working throgh pandora and custom ipl's, it would work even if the flash and nand ipl of the machine is destroyed. The timemachine is useful to run software that is not supported anymore, and also as a way of booting psp's even if the internal firmware is destroyed. It can also be useful for developers to test their homebrew in different firmwares.
Currently the timemachine can install the following firmwares:
- - Original 1.50 (can only be loaded on the phat)
- - 1.50 with some 3.40 hw modules. Can be loaded on both, phat and slim.
- - 3.40 OE (can only be loaded on phat)
- - 3.60 M33 (can only be loaded on slim)
Rest of cfw will be added in the future.
Requeriments of time machine: The timemachine itself doesn't require any firmware, only a pandora battery. Timemachine nand boot in slim, requires, however, 3.90 M33-2 or greater. The timemachine installer requires 2.71 SE or higher.
Instructions: Copy the TIMEMACHINE folder to /PSP/GAME and run. All firmwares can be installed on whatever PSP (slim or phat), but they can only be used on the psp indicated in the option.

A downgrader for all PSP firmware versions - 11 Set 2007
The dudes at noobz.eu have released the Pandora's Battery: unbricker, a downgrader for all PSP firmware versions! A killer tool for fixing any bricked PSP, restoring it to v1.5 firmware. When the PSP boots, the hardware checks for the serial number on the battery eeprom. In case it's 0xFFFFFF, it loads the firmware from the memory stick instead of from internal flash. You can use a working PSP along with the Noobz team's tool to create one of these special batteries. With it, operation can be restored on devices that were previously unbootable due to corrupted firmware. It's also a nice way to completely downgrade your PSP. Very nice stuff!

Homebrew and Emulation on PSP 2.00, 2.01 and 2.50 - 27 Jan 2006
PSP Updates is reporting that forum moderator and hacker guru Fanjita has completed his first release of a new loader for 2.01+ PSP's called eLoader. While 2.60 is not currently supported, this is a major accomplishment in unleashing homebrew on all systems. This amazing feat shows how frightfully resourceful developers can be when put against certain system restraints. This leap has indisputably opened the door to homebrew for PSP gamers who play on newer firmware.
Loading homebrew games can now be done through the same GTA exploit that you have already been using. To install and configure the new eLoader, which loads homebrew games and applications on newer version PSP's, read pspupdates report.
